Habilitation — Supported Living
Habilitation Supported Living (HASL) services help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop, maintain, and improve the skills needed for successful daily living in member-controlled home and community-based settings. Supports are delivered in alignment with each member's Individual Support Plan (ISP) and authorized service hours.
Skills that build sustainable independence.
HASL services are delivered through hands-on assistance, prompting, modeling, and reinforcement in real-world settings — with the goal of increasing independence and reducing reliance on supports over time.
Daily living & self-care
Personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, nutrition, and basic food safety — built into a sustainable daily rhythm.
Health & safety awareness
Medication prompting (as authorized), safety supervision, and habits that protect long-term well-being.
Budgeting & money management
Practical money skills, shopping, and financial decision-making to support adult independence.
Community navigation & travel
Practice and support to use transit, navigate community spaces, and engage with everyday environments.
Executive functioning
Planning, organization, time management, and the routines that make adult life feel manageable.
Emotional regulation

What progress can look like.
Progress is measured against each member's personalized goals. Over time, supports gradually fade as members gain confidence and routine.

- Greater confidence and self-direction
- Stronger participation in community life
- Reduced reliance on prompts and supports over time
