Staying Active
Lesson 2 of 4 · Why and How to Move5 min

Finding Movement You Enjoy

You are more likely to keep moving if you like it. There are many ways to be active. The goal is to find a few you enjoy.

In this lesson

  • Explore different types of movement.
  • Pick one or two to try this week.

Ways to move

  • On your own. Walking, biking, swimming, dancing to music, or following a video at home.

  • With others. A walk with a friend, a team sport, or a class.

  • While doing chores. Vacuuming, yard work, or walking the dog.

Think about what fits you

Some people like being around others. Some like to move alone. Some like quiet, and some like music. There is no wrong answer.

Pick one to try

Choose one activity that sounds okay to you. You don't have to love it. Just try it once this week and see how it feels.

Quick check

Try these to see what you remember. There are no grades — pick an answer to see how you did.
